Avon Simply Pretty Kajal : Review & Swatches

Hello girls,

Finally a review after a long long time. Been busy and missed you all. But cannot be away from my love, my blog for long. So girls, today's product under the scanner is a kajal, a must have for all girls, from the brand Avon. It's the Avon Simply Pretty Kajal - Black.

Price: This kajal is available with an Avon rep and/or online for anything between Rs. 80 - Rs. 150 depending on the offer for the month. I got it for Rs. 80

Quantity & Shelf Life: 2.6 gms; The label on the kajal says to use it before 07/2017 and has nothing written about the date of manufacturing. Since I bought this in November 2014, I am assuming it might have been manufactured somewhere around August 2014 and hence, the shelf life of this product must be 36 months.

My Experience with Avon Simply Pretty Kajal: The kajal comes in a typical Avon packaging colors of light pink and mauve. It's a thick wooden pencil that can be sharpened. Appearance more on the lines of Lakme, sans the packaging. The pencil is easy to hold and looks sturdy.

The kajal is soft creamy but not jet-black. At least three swipes are needed to build on the desired color.

Coming to a very important aspect of this kajal pencil. It does not smudge but neither does it stay on for a long time. The color just vanishes! I mean, over 2-3 hours, you will notice that color is fading away from your water line or lower lash line and that too without smudging. So, it's good and bad both. Good in the sense, it won't give u racoon eyes and bad that it's a bad idea to include this kajal as part of your day long outing or party as there would be a need to re-apply again.
The left side is single swipe while the right side is 3 swipes
Because of it's creamy texture, it easily glides and is easier to remove too with the help of a little cleansing milk.

My Final Take: I like this kajal for it's affordability and non-smudge property. Good for people on a budget as it serves the purpose good.

Have you tried the Avon Simply Pretty Kajal?
