The Nature's Co Red and Green Tea Sunscreen Lotion- Review & Swatches

Hello dearies,

How are you all? Today I am going to review yet another wonderful product from TNC. This is a sample size tube that I got as part of their monthly wish box.

Price & Quantity: Rs. 445 for 125ml

Shelf Life: 2 years

Ingredients: Red tea extract, green tea extract, olive oil, vitamin - E, aloe vera extract, sesame oil, grape seed oil

My Experience with The Nature's Co Red and Green Tea Sunscreen Lotion

A sunscreen should provide good protection from harmful rays of the sun. I have noticed that my sensitive skin gets reddened quickly in the sun, even if I step with a sunscreen on it. It's just the nature of my skin, so I have to always keep my face covered with a scarf or a hat or wear sunglasses big enough to cover my cheeks. But that doesn't mean that I can avoid wearing a sunscreen. I am always on  a lookout for a non-greasy sunscreen.

This TNC sunscreen is muddy brown in color and is slight runny. I take a amount equivalent to a 25 paise coin and massage it generously on my face and neck. I don't use a sunscreen on my hands but it is suggested that you must.

Pros of The Nature's Co Red and Green Tea Sunscreen Lotion:

1. Spreads easily. Ideal for body application too.
2. Gets absorbed into the skin.
3. Gives a matte finish. Absolutely non-greasy.
4. Provides good protection. However, suggested to use twice or thrice a day depending on your exposure to sun.
5. A little quantity is needed. So the tube will go a long way.
6. Easily available.
7. Works equally well in summers as well as winters.
8. The ingredients present in the sunscreen have anti ageing properties attached to them and sesame oil is a good skin nourisher.
9. Products are made from natural hill spring water.
10. Cruelty free and vegan

Cons of The Nature's Co Red and Green Tea Sunscreen Lotion

1. Not so wow fragrance. However, it vanishes quickly.
2. No SPF mentioned on the tube. I checked the full size bottle too but couldn,t find it there either.
3. TNC is notoriously famous for increasing prices now and then. The price of this product has gone up by almost 100 bucks in a year.

My Final Take on The Nature's Co Red and Green Tea Sunscreen Lotion: I recommend this sunscreen for all for its awesome properties. The sunscreen has anti ageing properties too by means of the ingredients in it. All in all a good buy.

  3. Loved the new blog theme Supriya :) Did you change it around Valentine's day?

I have never tried anything from this brand yet though I have seen many of your reviews. Somehow I find their products very expensive. And it's really a miss that they didn't mention how much sun protection it provides though I like the fact that it gives a matte finish, so needed in the summers.

    1. I know Gagan.. I have mentioned these two things in cons. TNC really needs to address them

    2. :) I was just seconding and agreeing on those points you had mentioned and I like the fact that you are upfront and honest about what you feel about a product and not go evasive and mild like I see in some reviews particularly in case of samples. Btw the comment just below mine is a spam sweetie. Mark her spam pls.

  5. i have used it and was not impressed by it..it says a lot in ingredients but does nothing special for my skin and most importantly being a sunscreen they should have mentioned the SPF(that was the biggest turn off) :) glad you like it but i wont repurchase it :)

    1. Hey sad it didn't work out for your skin. I have seen this kind of a thing with many herbal/organic brands that because of their ingredients and composition they do not suit everyone alike. And yes no mention of SPF is a thing that they should pay attention to.
