Maybelline New York Baby Lips Electro Pop in Pink Shock & Oh! Orange- Review and Swatches

Hello dearies,

The new electro pops need no introduction now. They come in 4 neon shades- ink Shock, Oh Orange, Fierce N Tangy, and Berry Bomb. I have two of them- pink shock and oh! orange. After using the original baby lips, I had high expectations from these new versions. Read on to know they fared.

Price: Fierce N Tangy-Rs. 135
Berry Bomb, Oh Orange, Pink Shock-Rs. 165

Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop Lip Balm gives
  • Adult strength care for baby soft lips in vibrant neon colors.
  • Sheer color and shine
  • 8 hours moisturization
  • Clinical strength lip balm
  • Dermatology tested and allergy tested

My Experience with Maybelline New York Baby Lips Electro Pops: Having tried the Anti-oxidant berry Baby Lips earlier, I was excited to try these for the reason of having some color tint on my lips along with moisturisation. The price of the color variants are higher than the normal baby lips. The packaging is same with the tube bottom and text in the same color of that of the lip balm.

I really liked pink shock. The color payoff is pretty good and it stays put for good 2-3 hours, more or less the same amount of time the lips stay hydrated as against the 8 hour claim made by the company. As it is, lip balm is a thing, which I made a habbit of re-applying time and again. So I don't really mind it for daily office usage. I do not even expect a lipstick like color efficiency from this one. Even after licking smacking your lips or having a meal, the lips don't feel dry even though the color may not be there.

Now coming to oh! orange. I am sad it is not that pigmented. I was expecting a nice coral color to my lips but it just didn't work. May be ladies with baby pink lips could try and find out, as I have pigmented lips and this is surely not for me. The moisturising properties are the same but that is not the reason one will buy the tinted version for.

All in all, I liked them but would have been happy if the orange one was more pigmented. I use pink shock a lot as the color will suit most indian skin tones. Here, I would like you all to notice the lost list of ingredients in the lip balm. Has anyone any idea what all does it contain? I am too lazy to do a research on this. Have seen it on Lotus lip balms too. As long as the results are good, I am not really bothered, nonetheless would like to know. May be will find out and tell you al sometime later.
