VLCC Strawberry Lip Shield

I am here with a review of yet another lip balm. This one is a strawberry flavor one from VLCC with SPF 10. This lip shield, as they call it come in a cute little glass jar. Read on to know how it fared.

Price: Rs. 125/- for 10gm

Ingredients: Strawberry extracts, Castor Oil, Octyl Methoxy Cinnamate, Shea Butter, Di-Methicon, Vitamin E.

As I said that the lip balm comes in a tub packaging and seriously apart from this factor, there is nothing that I do not like about this cutie! I will immediately start with the blabbering of its goodness.

1. Color: Its so summery and soothes the eye. Its a personal opinion but yes anything in red and pink seem to win over my heart instantly. 

2. Fragrance: The lip balm has faint fruity fragrance to it. I love the fact that it faints after some time. I prefer products that I use on my face with minimal fragrance to them.

3. Moisturizing Ability: This is what exactly that lip balms are meant to be. Isn't it? This product scores good in this department too. It moisturizes well and keep them hydrated.

4. Lasting Power: It lasts for a couple of hours and needs re-application after it. But the good thing is that even after two hours, the lip does not dry off. I always keep this handy and don't mind re-applying it every now and then. This is how, it will finish and pave way for a new lip balm.

5. Healing Property: It does a decent job of healing chapped lips if applied regularly. But make sure you do not lick your lips too often. Somehow, I have discovered that if I lick my lips very often, they tend to chap easily. I don't if it is me or its common with everyone.

6. Texture: The texture is just perfect. Not at all waxy and not too runny also. This makes it easy to apply and also less quantity is needed for one application.

This lip balm has been lying in my drawer for quite some time. When I finished my Lotus Herbal one, I grabbed this one and I am glad that I did. It has not disappointed me in the summer and rainy season yet.

Oh yes, the SPF factor- I don't consider that a major plus as SPF 10 is hardly any protection but still it gives some type of relief. At the same time, this should not be your buying parameter.

My Final Take: For all the features listed above, you can jump and hop to buy this product, only if you can tolerate the tub packaging. This is amongst the best lip balms that literally serve the purpose of carrying one. Otherwise there are similar options in the market in tube packaging also.
