Welcome March...

i dont have much to celebrate in the month of march but still i feel like its going to be something different.. February brought along too many learnings for me. enjoyed in jaipur, met a lot of people, got to know how things are viewed differently in different circumstances, came close to a few relatives, made new friends, visited mom's place in kanpur... i have had an experience of a lifetime. And yes, in the last week of February, I received a cheque from an online survey site for my contribution. Though i got it after two years of effort but nonetheless it was satisfying.

Desperately looking forward to see what March has in store for me.

E book reader ?? !! ## **** ???

oh.... i am so confused. which one to buy, when to buy, where will i get maximum discounts??
i so very badly want to buy an e book reader (bookies will understand my impatience) but i am way to skeptical about many a things. i have heard kindle is the best but that too has soooo many variations that its hard to select the best one. and in this little competitive world, there are whole lot of other option to further confuse my tiny winy mind. i wish and only wish that some angel please guide me through it. please help me select my e book reader. i will be the happiest person on this planet. <3

Pink City

Padharo mahro desh...

It was an awesome experience visiting the pink city for the first time and that too in a wedding ceremony. Met all relatives, far and near ones, enjoyed a lot, ate a lot, danced my heart out.. lo chali mei apne devar ki baraat leke.

To prasie jaipur, words can fall short. A designed city with immaculate infrastructure, clean roads, lots of pigeons (for bird lovers), clear traffic and not to mention the pink buildings. however did not get chance to roam around and discover the city as my wanderings were limited to and fro the home and wedding banquet. I am eagerly waiting for the next visit to jaipur to indulge myself completely in its beauty.

AAPNO RAJASTHAN

Hmmm.. finally i am off to rajasthan. the land of dal bati, kundan jewelery, handicrafts, lakh bangles, camels, sand, cold winter nights. and what more to ask, i am going to jaipur, the pink city :grin...

actually it is my sasural and i am visiting it for the first time after almost 7 months of marriage. so looking forward to this trip.

Don't wash your jeans often, fight climate change..

Wear your jeans at least thrice before washing them and then do so in cold water, don't use the dryer and not the iron either, says the UN Environment Programme (UNEP). By following these practices, people can consume up to five times less energy, according to a 30-second TV spot prepared by the UNEP Division of Technology, Industry and Economics (UNEP DTIE).
For the user, the effect of reducing the number of washes will be to reduce the need for electricity, water and detergent, the UNEP official says. "The choice of the detergent itself is also important. Washing at a lower temperature reduces environmental impacts. "Moreover, elimination of tumble drying, which uses around 60 per cent of the use phase energy, and ironing, in combination with the lower wash temperature, leads to around 50 per cent reduction in global climate change impact of the product."

'Co-education improves academic performance of boys'

ya thats true... a new study has revealed tht the presence of girls in class helps make it more quite n peaceful. It also fosters a better relationship between students and their teachers, the researchers in Israel have found in their study.
"Being with more girls is good for everybody. We find that both boys and girls do better when there are more girls in the class," according to lead researcher Analia Schlosser of Tel Aviv University. Boys with more female peers in their classes showed higher enrolment rates in both advanced mathematics and science classes, but overall benefits were found in all grades for both sexes. "It appears that this effect is due to the positive influence the girls are adding to the classroom environment," the ScienceDaily quoted Prof Schlosser as saying.

this is all about studies done in foreign countires.. lets see if this is also applicable in India!!!
