Organic Surge Volume Boost Shampoo Review

Hi friends,

The monsoon has set its foot firmly in Mumbai and I am absolutely loving the rains. It is such a pleasant weather out there. All is well but what gets the most of the hitting is our hair in this weather. So taking utmost care of them is essential or else we may end up with very bad hair. Call it a coincidence, that I found one such product that has help me so far so good in my endeavor.

Today I am going to review Volume Boost Shampoo from Organic Surge. It is meant for fine or flyaway hair. It builds body and strength with hair growth loving ingredients. The shampoo contains Organic palmarosa and lime essential oils.

My Experience with Organic Surge Volume Boost Shampoo

As you all might know Organic Surge was one of the first brands that made available in India its range of SLS/SLES and paraben free products (shampoos, conditioners and creams). Now many brands, both Indian and International have followed suit and today we have a basket full of option for true chemically free products to choose from. For me, this is a welcome change. But I think I will keep going back to Organic Surge for their shampoos as they helped me out at a time when there were virtually no other options.

I have been suffering from intense hair loss and thinning as a result of this and after an extensive research and a lot of topical and internal medication, I found out the answers to my question. I instantly dumped all the fancy shampoos that I used on my scalp and adopted Organic Surge as a starter. Although expensive, it did not pinch me, as it was giving me the desired result. Slowly I stopped all medications and am currently following a regimen that has virtually made my hair fall zero (if I am allowed to exaggerate) and the hair thinning problem is constantly reducing.

I have earlier used Shine Boost Shampoo for a long time and was wanting to try other variants all the time. The properties of the shampoo are the same. The difference being the fragrance because of the different essential oils in this one. Since my hair and scalp have gotten used to SLS/SLES and paraben free shampoos, my hair feels no more dry after usage of this shampoo. New users may feel this for a month or so of usage because these chemical free shampoos first remove the silicon and other chemical deposit on your hair and scalp which has accumulated after continuous usage of fancy shampoos. This is in a way very good for the long term growth of your hair. Once that is done, these shampoos will start treating hair with utmost care and tenderness and you shall love the long term effect.

I will not go much into product description as it almost the same as earlier reviewed by me for Organic Surge Shine Boost Shampoo

Coming to the essential oils used in this variant, palmarosa oil is fast gaining reputation in the beauty world for its unlimited benefits. It is used for calming nerves and muscles and is also a natural moisturizer. It balances hydration levels, stimulates cell generation, relieves fatigue, exhaustion and stress. It is said to be also useful in acne cure. Lime oil is known for its ability to clean toxins from hair and scalp, leaving your healthy and shiny. Apart from this cleansing property, lime EO is said to be a rich source of vitamins, higher than other other citrus fruit EO.

My Final Take: With all these captivating qualities, I am sure to keep buying these awesome bottles again and again. Although sometime back when I started with them, only one online portal was hoarding them, thus had to depend on their availability all the time. But that's not the case now. It's available at many places. So enjoy and let your hair also enjoy the treat.

  2. Lovely review Supriya and when I saw the post in my inbox, I was very keen to read it out. I thought you might have reviewed their new reformulated range. But from ingredients, I see it is the older one and wonder which store you procured it from coz these were extremely good and you are lucky you got this one. I am still waiting for someone to review the new ones with a different set of preservatives.
